​Asbestos Removal & Testing

The Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) classifies the asbestiform varieties of minerals considered to be “asbestos.” Other regulation governing asbestos and its remediation, include the Asbestos Information Act (AIA), Asbestos School Hazard Abatement Reauthorization Act (ASHARA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).

Lead is a pollutant regulated by many laws, including the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act of 1992, Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) among others.

Mold & Defecation Cleaning & Removal​ 

While less regulated at the Federal level, mold and bat and bird droppings can cause significant health risk, as well as infrastructure damage. Most important is fixing what causing the damp conditions or allowing animal entry.  Small areas can be cleaned with bleach and water. Larger areas, 2 sq. ft. or more, should be removed by a professional in mold remediation. It is important to employ appropriate protective wear and respiration or have professionals do this, as they are trained in safety precautions in dealing with hazardous waste materials.​
